Our office is at 2692 W Oxford Loop, Suite 108, in Oxford, in the first building behind Home Goods. It's about an hour's drive from Hernando, and a little longer from Southaven and Olive Branch. When meeting in person matters, it's a drive many clients find worth making.

Online first, built around your schedule

Online sessions use a secure video platform. You join from a private spot, like your home or a closed office in Mississippi, and you get the same counselor and the same approach as in the office. Sessions are by appointment Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM, so early-morning, evening, and Saturday times are easier to fit around work and school.

One important detail for DeSoto County: you need to be located in Mississippi during an online session. If you work across the state line in Memphis, plan to join from home or from somewhere on the Mississippi side, not from your office in Tennessee. Learn more about online counseling.

Bruce Thomas has more than 25 years of experience with adults, couples, and families. He is:

  • A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Mississippi and Texas, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas

A weekend intensive gives you focused, concentrated time with Bruce in our Oxford office, away from work, kids, and the usual distractions.

For DeSoto County couples, the drive down can be part of the reset. You leave the usual routine behind for a weekend and come home with a clearer picture and a plan. Southaven is home to the DeSoto Center on Church Road, where Northwest Mississippi Community College and the University of Mississippi–DeSoto share a campus. Many students there are working, raising families, or both. If you're a student struggling with pornography, relationships, or the pressure of it all, online sessions can fit around your classes and job, and we treat college students with respect and without shame.

Cost

We're a cash-pay practice. We don't offer a sliding scale, but we can give you a superbill on request to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Covenant Counseling from DeSoto County? These are estimates and depend on traffic. From Hernando, it's about 58 miles, roughly an hour, south on I-55 to Batesville and then east on Highway 6. From Southaven, it's about 70 miles, roughly 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, on the same route. From Olive Branch, it's about 60 miles, roughly 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, by US 78 to Holly Springs and then south on Highway 7. Online sessions save you the drive, and the Oxford office is there for intensives or whenever meeting in person matters.

Can I do online sessions from my office in Memphis? No. Online sessions are available only when you're located in Mississippi at the time of the session. Many clients join from home, or from a private spot on the Mississippi side before or after work.
