Bruce Thomas, LPC (MS, TX), LMFT (TX), CSAT
Bruce has 25+ years of experience working with youth, adults, and families, including abused and abandoned children and their caregivers in Romania. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), he helps individuals recover from sex and pornography addiction and related trauma. He is sensitive to the impact of betrayal on you, your partner, and your relationship. He has also helped families trying to help their teens navigate through and overcome addiction to pornography and related compulsive behavior.
As a part of your recovery journey, he can help you navigate the healing process. He provides a safe environment where you can discuss personal issues privately, professionally, and proactively. His office is a "no judgment" zone that allows you to find healthy solutions for "hard to talk about" personal problems.
Bruce believes change is possible for every individual, and that there are evidence-based ways to work through problems that seem to have no solutions.
Specialties
Bruce's specialties are couples counseling for infidelity, sex addiction recovery for individuals and couples, and therapy for those struggling with other sexual and/or intimacy issues. Additionally, he provides trauma-informed care for children, teens, and their families dealing with sensitive family issues — especially kids who come from difficult places.
Help & Wholeness
Bruce desires to see people find help and wholeness. He believes in healing for the brokenhearted and freedom for those who feel trapped in "the crazy cycle."
Bruce has spent most of his adult life working internationally and cross-culturally with trauma and abuse victims and understands how these tragedies can impact all aspects of your life and relationships.
